This browser not supported

Num Nav works in Chrome and Edge on a computer.

Features

Stop reaching for the mouse

Everything starts from the keyboard, and everything is free.

1

Nummarks

Bookmarks you can type.

Give any site a number. Type it in the address bar, press Enter, and you're there. No folders to open, no menus to dig through.

  • Use any number you like: 1, 2, 10…
  • Saved in your browser, and synced by it when you're signed in.
  • Works with Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, Yahoo and Baidu as your search.
2

Numjump

Click anything without the mouse.

Press AltJ on any page and its links, buttons and fields get a number. Press the number and it takes focus, ready for Enter.

  • Smart groups: a nav bar or a footer gets one number, and opens into its own numbers.
  • 9 shows the next batch, 0 goes back, and Esc steps out.
  • Stays clear of the text, on light and dark pages, and works inside dialogs.
  • Only runs on the tab where you press the shortcut.
3

Templates

Turn any number into a link.

Tell Num Nav where numbers should go, such as your ticket tracker, and type just the number. Perfect for the ticket you already have in your head.

  • Write the link once with {x} where the number goes, like …/browse/PROJ-{x}.
  • Paste a link and Num Nav finds the number for you.
  • Keep several templates and switch between them with a click.
4

Settings

Tune it to how you work.

A few switches in the popup change how Numjump behaves, so it gets out of your way the way you like.

  • Numbers close by themselves, after 5 seconds by default. Pick anything from 1 to 60, or turn it off.
  • Open on pick: links and buttons open the moment you press their number, with no Enter.
  • Change the shortcut whenever you like at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
  • New here? One click brings in your first 10 bookmarks as nummarks. Your browser asks first, and only then.

Shortcuts

Everything lives on the keyboard

Starting to Tab or scroll closes the numbers and lets the page carry on as normal.

  • Alt+ J Show or hide the numbers on the page
  • 1 – 8 Pick a number. A group opens into its own numbers; a link, button or field takes focus
  • Enter Follow the link or press the button you picked
  • 9 Show the next batch of numbers
  • 0 Go back to the previous batch
  • Esc Step back one level
  • Esc Esc Close everything with a quick double press
  • Alt+ N Turn Num Nav on or off

Prefer different keys? Change them any time at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

Private by design

It only does what you ask, when you ask

  • No account

Nothing to sign up for. Install it, add a nummark, and go. Everything is free, and supported by people who chip in.

  • Your data stays yours

Num Nav doesn't collect or sell your data. Your nummarks and templates live in your browser, and are synced by it if you use sync.

  • Runs only on request

Numjump touches a page only on the tab where you press AltJ. It doesn't sit on every site you visit.
